Lam's kicking game is a bit crap

Might be my imagination but sense from Abe’s message regarding Drinkwater’s replacement it’s someone pretty good…..better than Lam hopefully.

I’m glad we we have changed approach. A long time coming. I can imagine a situation last year where we would be looking at most of our cap or budget going on Tom Burgess for 3 years.

I got pelters for saying we should be looking at him. He’s a very skilled player. Watch him go tear it up for Salford this season.

Burgess has signed for another two years I believe. The half back reported signed is a wow signing.

3 more years of Burgess and a few more strategic signings and we may get the monkey off the back.

TBH I heard about this on Wednesday but have no news on the half back signing.

Decent player but not a wow signing.

He completely dominated in the games that Salford beat us in this season.

Ideal signing to allow Hayes to play his way into the Wire 1st team permanently.

I can only think of one ‘wow’ signing…..probably just wants to be near his girlfriend in Manchester.

I would take Sneyd at least for a season so Hayes can develop. He’s a great kicker and it would leave Williams to do the rest.

What makes people think "wow" is very much a personal thing. Some people are very hard to wow. The signing of Sam Burgess & George Williams must have got a wow from most people.
BTW I would love to have Sneyd.

Unless it's Harry Smith or Mikey Lewis, I don't think there's a half in Super League that comes close to "wow" and surely its neither of them. Sneyd, Lomax both very good but not wow at this stage in their careers.

It's unlikely to be a top Aussie cos of Origin , but could be one towards the end of their career, I suppose. Adam Reynolds would be wow and would sort our kicking game!

Jarohme Hughes? Very, very unlikely but definitely "wow" and no Origin issue.

Shaun Johnson, maybe? Isn’t he out of contract this year.

DCE for a year would be nice. Getting on a bit but still at Origin level. Would be a great mentor for Hayes. I can dream!
