Seen some interesting - overhyped - views on Matties performance.
First half - he was very good, and his 2nd try showed what real pace he has. Just as impressive was his defence.
Second half - for me (and I expect Uncle Sean) - it was a mixed performance. Some good defensive reads but could have had a 3rd try (I think the pass wasn't brilliant, but not too far off), a dropped ball in collision (unusual for Mattie) and totally out of position for their try from what I could see (stand to be corrected).
I guess Makinson will be back next week if fit, but Mattie has done his reputation no harm at all.

If Lewis reaches his potential he'll still only be half the player Williams is. England don't have that many world class players, We can't afford to leave them out.

Agreed. I've been disappointed with Clarke & Walkers contributions so far. What are the other options? Bring back Mickey Mac? Leeming? Not really thrilling me.. Maybe Brad O’Neill should have beeb given a shout.

TBH you not wrong, I think Walker is a good player but I just think he struggled against the size of the Tongans. No SL team as that size right across the park. Currently Super League level for sure just not international as yet.
