Indeed, Captain.
Sadly, my therapist has ceased all contact with me, regarding MR.
He said I'm a hopeless case, and I'm better keeping my money in my pocket, in future.
Such a shame, re MR. My one problem with Brian Johnson (RIP), was his rushing back of Roberts for an A-team game, when he hobbled onto the pitch. Career finished (practically) that Friday night.
With Sally's mention of Ronnie Duane. Another one that (partially) got away. When he came back as a centre, he was never the same. We reinvented him as a second rower, where he adapted well (see Paul Cullen, a few years later). Iirc, he moved to Bradford (as a second rower) and did well, there.
Re Currie, there's nowhere else for him to go, other than a ball playing loose (out of fashion, now). He hasn't got the dynamism of a second rower, anymore.
As I said before, he needs to be told that he's no longer guaranteed a spot. Reputation and slack cutting will only go so far. When we start with Widdop, maybe he may find some more space for Currie (like Sandow did).
Fingers crossed.
