I have visions of the Sam tomkins going over in the corner in the last minute with the Sky commentary team creaming themselves as they declare that Tomkins must surely be a shoe-in for the England team, Man of Steel, BBC Sports Personality of the Year, the Nobel Peace Prize and Canonization by the Catholic Church.

This is the reason TS and the team need to win, the longer we keep the mouths of the Sky team quiet the better

It was quite (very) funny but to be fair to Saints (difficult) it wasn't of their making. If Wigan beat us I wouldn't fancy having to go to Hull to stay in the top two.
Let's hope for a decent win on Friday and the opportunity to rest up one or two the following week

If Hull win Thursday, Wigan won't be able to win it regardless of how they do against us on Friday if my calculations are correct.
2 Super League Leaders Shields • 9 RFL Challenge Cups
3 League Championships • 1 League Leaders Trophy • 1 Premiership Trophy • 1 Club Championship Trophy • 4 Regal Trophies • 1 Captain Morgan Trophy • 1 Floodlit Trophy • 8 Lancashire League Titles • 9 Lancashire Cups

If Hull win and Wigan beat us, the table would us on 41 pts, Hull on 40 and Wigan on 40. If we then lost to Hull and Wigan won there last one then the table would be Hull and Wigan on 42 and us on 41.
It would go down to points difference. At present Hull have +103 more than Wigan. So it could be done, however very unlikely.
As an aside note, that Treble Winning team of Leeds last season, ended on 41 points, we could set a new record for highest points gained in the Super 8's 30 match season.
Last season we had 15 wins from 30 games, this season we are currently on 20.
