They only play eight games, and that was Wigans 1st as they had one postponed earlier due to bad weather. I quite enjoyed it all honesty, it was very competitive and much better than some of the big blowout score we sometimes get at this level.
I do wonder about some of the coaching though. The second half Wigan had a gale force wind behind them but kept on running and driving the ball (often losing it due to good defence and poor handling conditions) A young Edwards, Goulding or Briers would just have put the ball downfield and challenged the opposition to come back against the wind and rain/hail.
