yeah but it wasnt rocket science he was describing though....
"talk at marker cos it puts dummy runners off"..... in a training session
and then the usual "dig deep " stuff pre game....after which he then dropped a load of high kicks and put his own team under pressure...!!! and eventually got brought off in the second half.....
carney will play, some people are taking tony smith out of context here, all what he said about what carney will bring to the club are simply additional pluses,he has been signed purely on what he will do on the pitch, the rest is a bonus.
he has the ability, fitness and desire,so does his age matter that much?
i could understand people questioning the signing if it was a 3 year deal worth megabucks,it isn't so lets just welcome him with open arms.
His fitness is rubbish but if he's here on a p-a-y-p and costing next to nothing i don't really care.
If he improves Wire in any sense i'll be happy
Mr Biscuit i understand this is a discussion forum and we type what we feel but a bit of positivity wouldn't go a miss once in a while surely ?

his fitness isn't rubbish, when everyone on here was speculating that tony smith was unable to attend a club function because he was in france signing sonny bill williams he was in fact over in ireland checking out brian carneys fitness and desire to play for warrington, neither were or are questionable.

Won't argue with you tache if you're right then it's a good signing but even you have to admit he has been a bit of a biscuit in his career which is the only worry i have

I think we were hoping he was in France signing Sonny Bill, and not checking on Carney's fitness in Ireland.

yeah that would of been great signing a youngster seriously prone to injury with no desire to play super league or going out to sign a proven international who actually courted our club, not for monetry reasons but for the chance to perform at the top level once again.

I know Sonny Bill is injury prone, and a bit of a n00b, but I think his signing would have generated a bit more excitement than that of a 33 year old winger who never really made it in Union.
