Well this genuinely surprised me, if we have got Powell i assume burgess will have Walker and Powell rotating with Dwyer fighting constantly for a spot?
Don’t know how the club can get Makaele in the quota if the rumour he want to stay is true. Do lower tier international players count on the quota, or did they shore that up a couple of seasons back?

The Kolpak Ruling is still in effect but we'd have to offload Kasiano to bring him in still as we have Dufty, Drinkwater, Vaughan, Musgrove, fitzgibbon, Tai and Kasiano on the books. We're allowed 5 overseas players from Aus and New zealand, and the Kolpak allows 2 from lower Tiers. Last year Mata'utia and Mikaele took the Kolpak spots as they both hold Samoan passports. I like Kasiano but would be happy with Mikaele instead of him.

Thank you.

Maybe Samoa shouldn`t be classed as a lower tier nation anymore.
They were World Cup Finalists last year, and deservedly beat England in the semi-final.

The whole 'interchange hooker' situation has become very strange. I know we're just dealing in rumours here, and I can't recall (or be bothered checking) who said what, but we've gone from Ratchford is going to be the interchange hooker and Dwyer isn't coming, to Dwyer's signing being formally announced, and now this Powell rumour. If the Dwyer to Salford talk is true, I find it very odd that Dwyer would do his big interview with the WG about how much he's glad to be back at Wire.

This was simplified a couple of years ago, its simply 7 non fed players allowed, whether they come from Aus, NZ, Fiji, PNG etc etc.

I must have missed that one. Bit odd that someone who's family couldn't wait to get home would decide to either bring them back...OR leave them at home. He's a half-decent player, I'm sure he could get a gig in Australia.
The Wire - It's Time To Believe
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will. When the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with the twists and turns, AS everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out: Don't give up through the pace seems slow. You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far; So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem worse, that you must not quit. NOW THE WIRE!
