No problem, my fault for my comment not being clear enough
We should really be thankful that our last ditch defence worked so well & aggrieved that both Saints tries looked to be off forward passes.
It was a change to watch a match where defence played such a big part. but we really need to stop opponents from making so much yardage on sets of six.

First time they exert any pressure, we panic, we crack
Hang about they exerted huge pressure in the first half and scored off a forward pass. We did a massive amount of defending which takes its toll. I think your comment is very unfair.
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

There's often a different perspective if you're at the game or watching on TV.
I think they deserved to win overall but we definitely had them on the ropes in that second half and fine margins again contributed to our defeat.
They were nervy and they were more than a bit relieved I'd say
Yes gutsy losers isn't where any of us want to be but I left the ground looking forward to next season

LMS will be full of tears and retired on the spot. It would be good to win the last game of robys career too, he's been a phenomenal player and has hurt us (and everyone else in superleague) on a number of occasions, really He deserves to finish on the big stage but that's not how sport works and I'd be delighted if we denied saints the opportunity.
Mostly though, I'd have a great laught at all of the excuses, moaning and finger pointing that comes from their wonderful fans. There's nothing quite like a saints meltdown after a knocknout loss.
Oh well. Nevermind. You lost for the 4th time this season. Your unhealthy embarassing obsession with St Helens will have to wait another year.
To the proper Warrington fans..unlucky. Your players gave everything. It’s on burgess to get them up for every game, not just saints. If he can do that you will be there or thereabouts

Gutsy losers is better than we have been in the past and I preferred this to our other first round playoff exits under Price.
It was more like 2003 in Cullen's first full year (was that really 20 years ago...?!) when we went up to Wigan in our first ever SL playoff appearance and gave a good fist of it.

They made about three clean line breaks and bombed at least three tries first half. When we finally got a foothold in the game, drew level and they were down to 12 we failed to capitialise and they scored off their first attack of the 2nd half.
