You are Rishi Sunak or Sajid Javid, and I claim my free copy of a ministerial resignation letter.

Yeah what a great train set. Spend far too much money trying to get the right parts and set it up in different ways and you always end up watching the same crap go round and round.

Another argument is that every day we stay with Powell is a day longer we are away from the goal, but that loses impact when you realise we have been treading water for 6-7 years.

Some big assumptions there about our owners wealth and their readiness to throw good money after bad. They don't become astute business people by backing losers.
No doubt they will want the best available at a price they consider will give them a fair return, whether financially or in prestige which winning cups give you. The investment made so far has resulted in poor team performance, poor and unhappy crowds and the worryingly of possible relegation.
It wasn't meant to be like this. Time for action.

I am not happy about the performances and results but I wasn't exactly over the moon about being dumped out of the play offs and challenge cups by Hull KR, Cas, Salford, etc under Steve Price. No disrespect intended to those clubs and I know spending big does not give you a god given right to win everything.

Everybody has been complaining about the pack and in theory that should be addressed from next year. There has been far more turmoil this year than I expected. I guess powell was involved in the decision to have 12 players out of contract at the end of 2022 so he could make the decisions on retention.
I dont get people saying Powell is picking players on reputation when Charnley has been shown the door and King sent out on Loan. If Longstaff and Dean are not ready yet then happy to take Powells judgement.

This could end up in disaster but it also could end similar to this

DP is in it for the long haul.
He has full backing of the board.
Everyone is disposable.
Who he wants the club will buy.
Any player not buying in to the new systems is out, some quicker than others.

True but they have been generously investing for 18 years+ now. They are not looking for financial return, its an eminently affordable hobby. If it was a serious business for them they would appoint a credible CEO.

That's a good story. They made the final in 2020 and won it 2021. Let's hope for the same.

It’s all well and good loaning our King and Longstaff in July. But the only “bad apple” shown the door was a winger. A flipping winger! Bear in mind he is STILL our second highest try scorer despite being in the long grass since April.

The Panthers rose though letting go of the old guard and replacing them with youth. Luke Lewis, for example, went to the Sharks, won a premiership and retired before the youth developed into a team fit to win anything.

If you’re trying to cast parallels, maybe we shouldn’t be letting those players rot in the reserves or send them out on loan.

The pack appears to be addressed, but that was THE shortfall of the club. There was nobody behind Hill and Cooper. So… we let them go. Don’t kid yourself on the strength of Gil Dudson.

There’s work to be done. We need so see improvement. Without that, it is the worst period of history since Dorohay, maybe even longer, and we know how long it took to recover from that

I would take the Dorahy era over this any day of the week. Finished 5th, with the best 2 young talents in Super League (Harris and Sculthorpe) and Henare burning everyone for pace on the wing. Considering we'd got smashed 80-0 by Saints just before he took over, Dorahy turned things round pretty quickly.
