Those people who think this was intentional, do you also think it was intentional when he went for a big hit on Fozzard and ended up bashing his face and knocking himself out?
These things happen, it is a fast, tough game.
He will get a ban, and he should get back in the team. We want players to try 100%, well in Westwood that is exactly what you get, but from time to time, things go wrong.
Thank god some of us talk sense.
For what its worth, I'd have westwood at saints in a heartbeat. A player very underrated by a lot of people imo.

Just to be clear no-one accused him of spitting - someone commented on him 'gobbing off' and it was misconstrued by others.
No they didn't. He might have meant that but he didn't say that.

Absolute disgrace 20 years too late if he had thrown a stiff arm like that 20 years ago nothing would be said but the game has been cleaned up to get rid of the tackles like that, blatant attack to the head hope he gets sign die or at least 6 months

There is much worse going on in games all the time.
Who the hell is starting a witch hunt? I'm simpley saying what he did was an act of thuggery and he should get what he deserves. His performances have been brilliant last few years and he rightly got a call up to the world cup last year, but i wish he would stop the little niggley things which he has in his game, giving silly penalties away, needless highshots every now and again. I may have gone over the top saying it wouldn't bother me if he didn't play for us again, i just can't stand cheap shot merchants and cowards, and thats what Ben was on Saturday night.

Don’t be soft it’s a mans game, Westwood has had a few in his time and will probably be on the end of a few more in the weeks to come. The same Carlaw. It’s an occupational Hazard end of. I’m not condoning this but it just happens

He took the club over in dificult circumstances and the team punched well above there weight in the play offs. We've got to be realistic, our glory days have gone, we're no longer a Saints, Leeds or a Warrington.
