I'd still like McMeeken in the squad next year, solid hard yards no nonsense prop, tried, tested and proven. Prop/second row, would demand a high wage though but i think he'd be worth it.
As for this year, Harrison, Vaughan, Bullock, Musgrove, Philbin, Wood and weirdly Crowther at prop might be all we need who knows. Plus Lucas Green in the wings. Still Got Nicholson and Tai to add in to the mix as well so we're not looking shabby at all.

Question for those putting forward mcmeeken as a potential recruit,

People weren't best pleased about the last props that catalans allowed to leave, how come mcmeeken isn't being held in the same regard

Powell is trying to recruit him for Wakefield, so we should take heed of that too.

McMeeken should have been a huge target for London for this year. May have had to pay a fee to release him from his final year, but an international signing who came through their academy, born in the south is exactly what they needed.

It’s a mountain to climb going from a circa 10 point Grade B to catch Wakefield who I think would claim the 12th spot based on the 2023 grading, but there are points available for on field performance and attendance etc. but you need marquees to even get close to clawing some back.

The Brewdog partnership may help, I think they are giving away free beer on Sunday to try and drag people through the gate, but you need to see some recognisable faces and they need to be competitive if people are going to come back.

McMeeken is class and puts it in every game, hard yards in attack and solid in defense, runs good lines, scores occasionally and offloads well. Him coming from Catalans means nothing, also if he wants to come back to the UK it doesn't matter what Catalans offer him.

Fair challenge. I think McMeeken is a far more effective player, international standard, and at 29 has a few good years left.

I wouldn't touch anyone that reeks of Cas for a while. Even if they've been elsewhere since!

Gutted about this, I think that 20m yardage gain and 8 tackles a match will be really difficult to find in the rest of the squad. Not to mention the his try scoring record with us.

Good luck to him, things havent worked out, but he's been one of our worst ever signings.
