Poor decision on Harrison too. Said he knocked on when it clearly hit his knee only. Again no help at all from the touch judge.
Actually having watched a few games on Sky this last 2 weeks and our own am questionning whether the refs are letting off sides go a little. Stanley Gene was never onside the whole game.
Could somebody please explain how we started a set of six from a knock-on from where we picked the ball up (invariably further towards our own try line than where the knock-on took place), yet when the same happened, HKR were awarded a scrum?
We a good few metres in the negative on numerous occasions.
Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

I noticed one of those close to our line; you are supposed to cross the advantage line from where the knock-on happened and if not a scrum should be formed.

We know he loves to ignore the rules but now he chooses to ignore his fellow team of officials.
yep happened very early on did that...remember last year in the leeds wigan cup tie a scrum was about to form and he asks the vid ref what the penalty count was....very strange

He is just a poor referee. Nuff said.

In summary, HKR are made up of of a few overrated foreigners, a couple of Wigan rejects and a couple of blokes I have never heard of.
Saints by plenty, by miles even!

HKR are about as poor as it gets.
When referring to the atmosphere of the HJ...

Shame it doesn't keep the sound like the full east stand of HKR. That's atmosphere.

Couple of things I found strange from him. Firstly in the first half when Cockayne failed to take a bomb in the first half, the in-goal judge signalled that he had played at it and it should be a drop out. Silverwood was way back and behind play, and over-ruled the in-goal judge who was about 2metres away. What is the point of him being there?
Also, on numerous occasions yesterday he blew the whistle, walked over slowly to where the offence took place, spoke to players, and then gave the signal. This was frustrating, and he doesn't usually do it, so God knows why he started now, as you just couldn't tell what he was going to give. The signals are partly there for the benefit of the fans, so I don't understand why he was doing this. There was a couple of occasions where you thought he was blowing for a knock on, but then signalled a penalty a good 10 seconds later.

I think he has learnt to ask for permission first before giving details out to all and sundry.

didnt he also allow a quick restart for HKR when we certainly didnt have players back in our defensive line...... I wasnt aware that quick taps were allowed again.....has this changed or was it a silverwood beauty....?

Quick taps are allowed as long as all the offensive players are onside, and the ref is in position.
