must admit, i did think that when i was reading some of the wigan pisstakers on here today, we've lost to the best team in sl history, and one of the best teams in the league last year.
Wigan have lost to the best two teams near Jonh's house in the wakefield borough.

As a neutral it was an excellent game, some good tries and some good collisions up front the forward were knocking lumps off each other.
I was surprised to read some of the downbeat comments on here.
Ok you've had a disappointing start to the season, but you've lost away to Saints, a team thats topped the table for the last four seasons, and you've lost to a very good Catalan side who came third last year and may do even better this year.
Cut out some of the needless penalties and the handling mistakes and your not far off a good side.
Great post, wire fans have no need to worry, they will come good.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

It doesn't matter. For forty minutes last night, Les Dragons were a complete rabble. In the second forty, they weren't much more than decent, but that was enough to see us completely capitulate.

Stop talking sense will you, this is the Warrington board where over reaction and targeting certain players for endless criticism is the norm. Please stick to your own board.

Correct. In fact towards the end of the first half, before they scored, they looked like they'd given up. Catalans were battered last week by Hudds - there's nothing like a game against Warrington to boost confidence.
It's the manor of the defeats that people are reacting too, total capitulation when the other team gets a bit of momentum and the fact that we haven't won a game since Leeds at home on August 2nd.

Absolutely correct - after 35 minutes they were gone (we had played well too) but we managed to piggy back them up the field from being on their line with a couple of minutes to go till half time.
I just couldn't believe how stupid our players must be - Westwood idiocy cost us the first try. Someone else cost us the one just before half time.
Second half we just gave away penalty after penalty after penalty and when we did get field position we dropped it, normally on the first or second tackle.
As someone else said it's not about being beaten, it's the manner of the defeat - completely shambolic and unacceptable no matter who the opposition are - and let's remember Catalans were missing key players and were using a centre at hooker for the first time!
As Emo Philips said "You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked every day by a middle-aged woman: Stuff you pay good money for in later life.
