Played for Newton Storm for 5 years when i was younger

I weren't good enough to make the switch across to Warrington Amateur team though.

Tony Smith: "I thought the fans really made the difference on Sunday. At times I looked at the South Stand and thought WOW those guys are rocking in there, I like that."

I had Bulldogs and Bridge in my initial list, then could only find results/leagueplacings for one. Is there still two clubs?

Was going to put them in but technically not an amateur club anymore. My understanding is it may reform again under the original aims rather than as an amateur club.

Yes, Burtonwood Bridge is the Open Age team whilst Burtonwood Bulldogs (with Club President Eddie Hemmings) is a separate junior section.

Lymm Wolves are currently just playing Monday night T&P whilst they recruit a squad.

They are training tonight I think, 6.30pm at Lymm.

From what I can gather, a few of the players and the chairman felt that the direction of Crewe Wolves wasn't exactly what they fancied and that there was room for a club closer to Warrington in the summer conference and hey presto you have 'Lymm Wolves'.

I think they are looking for people to join like the IMBRL lads who played for a. a game of RL b. The team ethic and c. the social side of it. This may be a reason that they haven't been too proactive on the recruitment as they want people who 'want to play' kind of thing, rather than say I dunno, a bunch of lads from Crossfields turning up and in effect you'll have two divisions between the ranks, a 'them and us' sort of thing.

I could probably get a no. for anyone interested ?

Well I have been involved with an amateur club - you didn't specify whether that club was still active. I move that we strike the question from the forum and discuss Briers' goalkicking instead .

Ah, thought it might be something like that.

As for Lymm Wolves - apart from the odd snippet on here, I've heard or seen nothing about it. You'd have thought a brand new club might think it an idea to raise a bit of awareness. Yet they seem to be doing nothing. Strange.

Well spotted! Not exactly going out of their way are they! Not even an article in the Warrington Guardian about it.

Could be a very interesting development. Lymm is a very wealthy and now very large village, almost a small town in it's own right. Always been a RU stronghold and RL the poor distant relation.

Could help unearth lots of new players and fans.

So advertising on a site used by a club nobody is aware of...
There's a flaw here somewhere.
