A quick comment about the weather - the forecast for Saturday afternoon in Wembley is currently showing around 18 degrees, zero chance of rain. Just what you'd want for a match between two teams full of pace and flair. It's exciting and it feels like it could be a classic final.

you know what as mentioned in the matty ashton documentary that sky released last week, who's the faster players, him french, field, dufty?

you'd love to see this be contested with some long range breaks and long range chase downs.

outside of them 4, who else is there to contend with? thewlis? marshall?

that would be better than a forward led slogfest.

I would have put Thewlis in that category, until he made that interception at Catalans a couple of weeks ago, and Tom Johnstone chased him down in a way that made it look as though Josh was a Fiat Panda going up against a Ferrari! Maybe unfair to look at one incident, though - there have been plenty of other times when Josh has looked pretty speedy.

Handley, I think off the mark Dufty is rapid but not sure about length of the field. Length of the field I think Ashton beats Dufty.

I think that the forwards will dictate who wins on Saturday.

Unable to make it and it hurts. But I'm sneakily putting in the overtime at work this week so that when it gets to saturday I can leave early to make it home for the build up and have still met my contract! I'm not as confident as I was in 2019 - Wigan are the business and know how to get the job done when it counts. I just hope the sheer determination of players like Crowther and Nicholson will be enough to see us home.

The first Wire Wembley final in my lifetime that I’ll be watching from home, so mixed emotions here. Fingers crossed the lads can bring it home.
Good to see us back at a final, hopefully the first of many over the next few years.
