My favourite game of 2024 wasn't a classic in the sense of beating a team at the top of their game, or one of our 'bitterest' rivals but the the game against Huddersfield at St's in the Challenge Cup Semi was mine.
A comprehensive attacking performance, a warm sunny day, great atmosphere and the first game of my two grandsons Wire supporting 'career'. They loved it, (they managed half a dozen games following), so much so that Father Christmas got a request for a rugby ball and a pair of season tickets....of course Santa duly obliged.
On a personal note and I know it wasn't the result we wanted, but the challenge cup final of last season, due to all the family watching Jordy walk out onto the hallowed turf for the very first time, hopefully not the last, very emotional.
