Following on from the "best semi" thread, now we've got another contender for the other way round, which is yours?

Tonight was hard to take, but Leeds 2011 still wins by a mile.

If we are including CC semis as well, there are two that stick out for me.
The first is the one against Wigan at Maine Road and the realisation that the rest of the league was totally unable to compete with a full time Wigan team, with no sign of it changing (fortunately, it did).
The second was a semi at Headingly against Bradford around 2000. Again we got battered by a high flying Bulls side, but the depressing part was that only a few hundred wire fans made the trip and stood on a quarter full open terraced end where the new Carnegie stand is now.

Fair shout that one. I didn't expect us to win it, so it didn't feel the same as the 2011 one in that sense, but as you said, we did have a great chance to win it and I think we'd have had a very good chance of beating Saints in that final if we had.

Last night, hard though it has been to take, I think would ultimately have led to defeat to Wigan next week anyway if we had won.

In 2011 I was convinced we were winning it and then we didn't even make the final. That was brutal.

I remember that 80-0 but for some reason I've always had it in my memory as a league game. I have no idea why. I remember the Regal Trophy too, and I went to the 1995 final, so it's not like I'm too young to know it existed. Strange.

You mixing it up with the league game we played there a week later?
