I didn't have colours on and wasn't quizzed on which team I supported.

usually you change your season ticket, this season unlike last when you could own a west stand one, you have to change your ticket, they would not let you, hence the people who did get in with a wire top on, must have paid cash on the day and not owned a season ticket.
