Now I know that it was windy yesterday, but it's not just been happening yesterday.

It seems that whenever we get a penalty, everytime we kick to touch, it's always very laxadasical and we don't get many metres from it, normally about 15-25m at best.

I see some teams kick penalties into touch and they can gain up to 35-40m. It just riles me because the less metres we make from penalties, the more we need to make on the field.

But you can garauntee an uproar if the kick misses touch!

At the moment, we aren't really in a position to be taking further risks IMO, especially yesterday with the wind.

Aye, I understand where you are coming from, but I did mention that the wind played a factor yesterday so I took that into consideration. But when there is no wind, it still happens.

Yes, it is also possible that the kick could miss touch, but could that be down to a lack of confidence that Briers or Monas don't think they have enough to boot the ball downfield and gain 35m rather than a gentle stab at the ball and gaining 5-10m?

What i didn't understand was the lack of 'bombs' in the second half. I saw ganson many times shielding his eyes from the sun so he could see. It would have been a nightmare for the fullback.

Precisely. You could tell the strength of the wind aswell, because the posts near the East Stand were rocking forward and back quite alarmingly.

I noticed that...I thought wouldn't it be funny if they just bent the right way as Sinfield kicked and he missed it...hand of God!!!!

this has occurred to me for years. blame briers. he is usually the culprit. i just don't understand the reason/thinking behind not kicking more yards from pens.
