I just got more involved. Your involvement is constant, whereas on the wing in Union in those days you could be out of the game for a while.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I had up there. I loved rugby league and really enjoyed playing it, more so than rugby union.

I still watch a lot more league than I do union today. The NRL in Australia I will religiously watch. If there’s a game on 6am Saturday morning. I will get up and watch that. I just love it.
