It's made me chuckle all this controversy over the kit, were the only club in the southern / northern hemispheres not to release yet and that's including the northwest counties.

Even the biggest sporting brand in the world couldn't keep theirs under wraps before their official release date.

I agree it's comical. What's all this rubbish I've read about spoiling the surprise? It's going to be a red rugby jersey with two sleeves and a Salford Red Devils badge. I can't for the life of me imagine supporters fainting or wetting themselves with shock or surprise when they first see it. Neither can I imagine anyone saying "I really wish I hadn't seen it before the official launch, I've ruined it for myself". We are talking about a rugby shirt here that costs less than a tenner to make not a wedding dress.

The only explanation is it's due to the new main shirt sponsor but this is usually always announced in advance by professional sporting brands like Manchester United etc. I wonder if the new sponsor is taking residence on land at Barton in the future and they want or announce that at the same time? It would make sense because I think the nearest facilities our new sponsor have at the moment is Warrington and they could be looking for a new facility closer to the real catchment area of Salford/Manchester. Just a thought.

Wigan haven't released theirs yet. Apparently we're getting some kind of announcement next week at some point.

If that is the kit I'll be properly impressed. Very good design and think the main sponsor is a real coup.

Hoping the away one is black and not too gimmicky.

Anyone know what colour the shorts and socks are ?. White shorts would look better with red, white and black hooped socks. I hope the kit is not all red.
