I know theres alot of topics pretty much the same but I just really need to let off steam at the moment. All I can say is thank God there are so many players out of contract at the end of the season. The only players I'd keep are Henry, Swain, Gibson and Sidlow and Stef. The rest I really wouldnt bother with because the amount of money I've spent on away games this season and they always play poorly and never come over to applaud. Yes theres a few numpties but the majority of our fans are good honest people and dont deserve it. I remember at one away game there was a 4 year old kid staying to the end in hope theyd come over but they didnt and the kid looked gutted. The players I've mentioned above imo are worth new contracts. Players like Jeremy Smith, Matty Smith and unfortunately Malc and Fitzy arent good enough anymore and Holdsworths a quality player but if he wants to storm down the tunnel after the game then f##k him. I dont think its all Mcrae's fault, I think the buck stops with the players and its so frustrated with players weve had in the past. Eg Watkins, Risman and so on who put everything into wearing the shirt and these players at the moment cant show abit of pride in our fantastic club. RANT OVER!!!

Must agree with you re Holdsworth he is a quality player, but does storm of the field when we loose and shows no appreciation for the fans that have made the journey.

Certainly agree that all does not seem sweetness and light in the camp - I do wonder just a bit at what the players felt about the amount of abuse that was thrown at them from certain quarters of the shed, earlier this season and has that had an effect?
The stuff holdsworth has had to put up with since being here do you really blame him for it? When we have won he has seemed buzzing and was clapping the fans. Maybe he storms off after a defeat so he doesn't get anymore abuse.
I think the problem was not in the hammering on the pitch but the attitude of the players to the fans after the match. Those who were there sang for 2 hours solid and really did Salford proud. We easily outsang Wire for the whole 80 mins. If we recreate half the atmosphere against Saints next week i will be happy.
Not acknowledging the fans afterwards gives a poor message to the fans and goes against the hard work the club is trying to do off the pitch.
Will be there singing loudly against Saints, but think the players should look at themselves long and hard about why they put on a Salford shirt.

Holdsworth is a class act, and a player that I would be making a big effort to keep at the club. If his way of trying to deal with defeat is to get off the pitch as soon as he can then I can live with that as long as he's putting the effort in on the park.

Absolutely spot on Iain. Perhaps DH is that deflated after such a loss, he just wants to get away. I can sort of understand that. He's a pro and they all have certain ways of dealing with the highs and lows.

Post-match appreciation of fans is a tricky one when we've been beated heavily - if the players trudge off, heads hung, or storm off in anger/frustration then they get criticised for not acknowledging the fans; if they come over to clap the crowd they get abuse and comments like "Cheeky gets, coming over to us, expecting us to clap them after that?!"
As a fan, I'm not sure which one I prefer. Equally, I don't really care to be honest. Whether a player comes over to clap at me after a game is definitely NOT a factor that I would consider when deciding whether I thought he deserved a new contract or not?!

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book
