This very good post sums up their situation - mirrors our situation a few months back a bit :-

`We need something big to happen on or off the field and fast. The fans have lost all faith that the team can go out there and put in a winning performance and if it turns out to be true that the players were partying last night (even if it was planned months in advance that they would go out that particular night) I dont know if I should be incredibly sad that they apparently dont give two hoots about what went on or if I should be seething with anger at their disregard for our feelings. I mean really? not one of them said "look, maybe tonight is not the best night to be making the club look bad after that showing?"

Believe it or not the team performence is not my greatest concern right now after hearing reports from the board themselves that financially the club is pretty much reliant on one board members cash and this board member is apparently not in the best of health and copped a fair amount of abuse from our own fans against Saints. Overall the clubs finances dont sound great right now with attendences down, lottery income significantly down and I think a further attendence drop is obvious at this point we look very shaky right now.

I dont want to make excuses for the BOD but our biggest longterm problem is money. We need some good news on the new stadium which will attract better sponsership and attendences which meens more money for players.

The franchise application year is closing fast and all our hopes are begining to feel like "pie in the sky".
I fear for our future right now.
As for Matterson I think a big bum kicking is in order today for all of the senior team members and questions asked as to what they want from their time at Castleford Tigers R.L.F.C.`

Coherent, considered, unabusive. I must've missed the equivalent post on here.

I feel Castleford are on a bit of a downward spiral at present, bit of a unhappy camp, stadium stop/start/stop battle with wakefield about who's will be built and who's wont be.

If we hadnt have to drive to south of france and back over the weekend i would have reaily fancied our chances this week, lets hope the players have it out of their system and give us another superleague performance sunday
