After watching some of the half hearted efforts from most of our team tonight!I think the likes of Jack Spencer,Palfry and co deserve there chance!!There Salford born and bred and if anything we would at least get some pride in the shirt out of them!!....We have signed cast-offs surplas to requirement from other clubs,an O.A.P has-been who seems to cry off every time he gets a bruise or chips a thumb nail who is more than likely one of the top earners in the team.....lets give these young home developed Salford lads a few games at some point to show us what they can do as im sure it cant get worse than that garbage tonight!!
IF WIDNES DESERVE A PLACE IN SUPER LEAGUE.......THEN THE POPE IS JEWISH!

Whilst I agree with the OP' sentiments. After the disgraceful booing at what is already a young team full of many brit players. Why would you want to bring in the young salford lads so they can have their confidence wrenched from them at such an early stage in their careers?
Our support ( well the majority of it from what I heard last night) is to stupid to understand that with youth comes inexperience and as a result we would lose the vast majority of our games.

I would not say I was TOO stupid to understand that but I remember last year a kid called Myler running us round the park he was only a youth the same could be said about Ratchford, but from the first two games he has had all his off the cuff stuff coached out of him.
Last night was like watching a team of Coleys

Sorry, didn't word that particularly well.
What I meant to say was while it's admirable to play a 'young and hungry' team I hope the likes of the two players I mentioned can help out the young wingers outside them. McGilvray in particular was peppered last night and could perhaps have benefited with someone more experienced to help him.
"Hopefully when everyone is fit we can strike a balance between youth and experience" was the point I was unsuccessfully trying to make.

It would be great to see our young lads given a chance in the first team.
But not at this time because as we can all see the Reds are a beaten team and I feel throwing young kids in now at the deep end may destroy them for the future.

Apparently, some of the younger/newer players couldnt believe the "booing" & when told from some of the longer serving players that can be the "norm at home games" they were quite shocked,

The booing was and will always continue to be a disgrace. They surely new they wer playing cack and didnt need mindless idiots in the crowd haveing a go.
The same drop kick near me year in year out singles out one player each season and baracks him and i'm waiting with baited breath to see who he singles out this year.

I can honestly say after 20 years of supporting Salford I can never remember being so ashamed as I was last night by the actions of a large section of the shed. At the final whistle I just stood there numb after what can only be described as an utter shambles. I have never booed my team and never will regardless of their ineptness. I saw Matty Smith shake his head as he looked at the shed before going down the tunnel and I saw at least 3 fans giving the players the "v". Totally unacceptable behaviour from "so-called" fans which is counter-productive and shows some of our fans up to be the n0bheads they obviously are.
