This year marks the 100th. Anniversary of the very first northern Union Tour to Australia and New Zealand. It was captained by James Lomas of Salford, as if you didn't know!

I just wondered if the Salford Club was doing anything to commemorate this anniversary?

It would also be a great time to push for James Lomas to be inducted into the RL Hall of Fame.

That would be great. Bit i cannot see the rugby league having a Salford player there, it would be against there beliefs. but if he had played for the so called to four, then that would be a different matter IMO

Mind you, he did also play for Bramley - and that's in Leeds!

There already is a Salford player there, Gus Risman....he was one of the first players to be inducted into the hall of fame.

I've always wondered why Lomas wasn't in the hall of fame and I think a push to get him inducted is bang on.

And Charles No1 fan - Hodgson (Swinton), Millward (Castleford, Hull KR), Wagstaff (Huddersfield), Fox (Wakefield), Risman (SALFORD)

Just because Rugby League's present is dominated by the so called big four doesn't mean it's past was.

A simple way would to have that famous picture of our three Lions' captains, as they met, made into a T-Shirt or poster.
