Just been looking at National Rail website and doesn't look like there are any direct trains to Widnes on Sunday. Anyone know of any engineering works going on? Don't fancy bussing it and having to change at NLW/Warrington is going to be a PITA.

Yeah, noticed the replacement bus service but not overly chuffed with that option unless it's turned into a "fun-bus" . Unless I can get my mates missus to drop us off and pick us up looks like the peasant wagon is the only option .
Is there anywhere decent to send her shopping in Widnes?

Anyone know if the club are planning on putting a coach or 2 on for the game? Nothing on the website but I reckon I'd take the club coach rather than *rsing about with public transport.

Not a chance there'll be a coach on mate, we struggle to fill a mini bus from the club during the league campaign so there isn't going to be one for a friendly.

12 squids according to someone on the Widnes site, 6 squids concessions. Went with a couple of Widnes mates last time and they made me sit in their "family stand." Friendly bunch were the locals .Hope they've allocated us the full main stand for our travelling support
