if this cold snap continues and games keep on getting called off, would it be beneficial in terms of preparation to play the leigh game behind closed doors maybe?
1 pre season friendly is hardly ideal preperation for superlegue? in this i am presuming the widnes game goes ahead
regarding the leigh games i think the main concern about the snowy conditions was the spectators etc, if that game were to be played behind closed doors the sides could have a hit out without any real H&S issues
financially it wouldnt be beneficial to leigh, but it would be beneficial to the playing squads?
i am just thinking we could do with the best start possible in superleague and a slow one could leave us in a difficult position to get out of?

I keep thinking but for the actions of a few we could have been warm weather training in Jacksonville again, ok it may be part due to funding but I gaurantee it would have been closer to happening if the ruckus hadnt occured.
Maywe we should offer to get 17 of us together to take them on, bet there are a few who would jump at the chance to take on their heros .

Whilst I am sure that was a factor, I understand the financial cost of Jacksonville was a major reason for not going this year.
A number of other SL clubs have also apparently cancelled their annual warm weather training camps, again on financial grounds.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

What difference realistically would that have made ? It's nothing that can't be done in the fitness centre, take last season we played Leeds's something team in FL, looked like the harlem globetrotters against Leigh did ok against HKR, (after they took their foot off the gas) beat the Welsh then went to Wakey and realised at that point we wern't up to SL not to mention hammerings to the elite of Cas Quins and HKR.
For me Florida may help elite athletes but not ones who go for a p*ss up and a punch up.
The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

One likes people much better when they're battered down by a prodigious siege of misfortune than when they triumph.
But who are we supposed to be playing this Sunday? Swinton, Leigh or Widnes (or a mixture of all three)?

I was nearly battered at work today for suggesting to a group of Leigh fans that we'd organised our original friednly schedule so that we had increasingly tough games each time ..... easiest against Leigh, slightly harder against Swinton then harder again versus Widnes.
They were not amused?!

Spectators could always be told they attend the game at Leigh at their own risk, surely...
