Yeh - Dave Hadfield has the story in the Independent too - seems they can't contact Leighton Samuels for any comments - oh dear oh dear, could it be that the RLs expansion plans are coming a little unstuck

Mind you if they did end up intact but playing at Wrexham it's a lot nearer than Bridgend or Mewport

True enough but the Leeds game at Wrexham is the only confirmed home fixture which I would imagine is very worrying for their supporters.

I feel for those who, including many of our backroom staff and directors and those of other clubs, give their all in commitment and resources, but it's time for a monumental assesment of just where we are at this present time.

The Franchise was awarded on the basis that the club were based in South Wales to spread the game not spreading the game to 30 miles from Widnes. Bet they will be annoyed if Celtic end up at Wrexham.

But werent we awared a franchise on the back of the bright shiny delights of a new stadium???

Wonder who would be on a stickier wicket us or the Crusaders for the respective breaks of promises.

So it appears there is not the finance in place to make the South Wales club work. To move them to Wrexham just because it is in Wales where there is zero development going on would be an absolute joke. If the franchise cannot survive in South Wales then Widnes deservedly should regain their place.

By the way Ive been told Wrexham is a top night out!
