since the season ended i have waited for some major signings , this has not happpened , i feel as being a loyal fan we deserve answers , are you mr wilky taking the mickey ,,you sold myler and got cash for turner , what have you brought in , 2nd class crap , we deserve better , how can you expect us to compete when you have let us down , we sadly are going the same way as swinton , why dont we just share the stadium at agecroft with swinton coz we will not be in super league much longer , mr simms and mr wilky have a real good look at yourselfs and if your not up for the job do the right thing

for the record a high majority of the myler money went straight to the tax man to cover unpaid tax, at least the bailiffs wont come knocking!

Smithy where has all the positivity gone? Why do we need to buy big, big small young or old if they want to play and are hungry for success they will do for me.

The money got used by the club on the club to give us a good financial base to build from rather than into a pocket of a top ozzie who will show us a bit of class they begin to pee it up the wall.

I agree Mr Optimist. I for one am looking forward to seeing how our young, hungry british squad do, I'm also looking forward to seeing the new ground go up.

why would they not pay the bill if they had the money to pay it in the first place?

If they owed money to the tax man they would not have got a franchise. I thought the team have to proof they will inmprove each season you cant inmprove a team by bringing loan players in because you end up with the same problem the next year. Are club is that poorly run it will never improve and win out without spending some money but as useual we sign crap that cant make it at other clubs. its like an hotel for crap. and as for the stadium can they only afford one digger on the site themn we will be waiting for the next milenium. I think smithy is right to worry. we are a selling club nothing more nothing less and can never see the club pulling 8,000 fans in when we aint going to win out.

Ditto, this is the direction a club of our size should be going in rather than spend loads on one star player.

For me the club are going in one particular direction and good look to them, if the youth policy fails they will perish but in the current climate we and other RL clubs only have one chance - let's jusy hope we grab it it with both hands.

J.W. along with our other loyal directors have not got never ending deep pockets, maybe the money did go to the tax man, who knows, but at least we are & wont be in the position to go into administration as some clubs are at the moment.

I cannot believe the negativity on this forum from some supposedly "LOYAL FANS", ok have an opinion, but to question John Wilkinsons credability to Salford Reds + his commitment I find it appalling.
We all know we are not the richest club in S.L but we are very solvent.
When I go shopping, I cant afford to shop at Harvey Nicks & the likes, so I go to Primark, hence, the club dont have a mega rich sugar daddy as some SL clubs so we spend according to our means.
Smithy, I know you are or were involved with the local amm. rugby, do you not think it is great when "young talent" breaks into a squad, that is what is happening to an extent this season at Salford, who knows what gems we may uncover, ALL superstars were nobodies to start with but with commitment & the right coaching who knows where it will lead.

Lets all have a bit of positive outlook about OUR club for a change & get behind who we have signed & see where it leads.
If we have a major crap season, I will hold my hands up & you can come back on here & say "I told you so".

As for Niel72, the stadium will come into fruition, in the next year aswell.

If you are all so concerned about the lack of quality players coming in, Im willing to put £100 into a kitty now, & if all the people such as yourself & smithy68 ARE so concerned along with a few others who post on here would be willing to do the same, Im sure we would have enough to go out & buy (what you are all crying out for) "a top signing"
If the club is doing so badly, why have we got the likes of Stefan Ratchford, Luke Adamson, Lewis Palfrey, Jack Spencer all coming through.

You all seem good at whingeing & moaning, but wont do anything about it, some of you wont even buy a raffle ticket or support Forever Reds, who support the youngsters coming through. It makes me feel proud when I see them getting a chance in the 1st team squad & think we helped them get there.
