are you optimistic for next season? is this just a season to lay some long term foundations for you guys?

I'd rate our season a 4.

I'm just happy theres no relegation, I know even now were not bottom of the table but i i dont think i could go thru it again.

Some promising signs but I ohnestly think if we could have finished mid-table we could have retained some players I feel we'l need next season. Turner, Myler etc.

Hot and cold for sure.

At the end of the day we are not going to finish bottom and that is a bonus.

Hopefully next season mistakes that have clearly been made both on and off the field will have been sorted out and we will improve in 2010

My least enjoyable season ever. Another false dawn.

I can't see where any improvement is going to come from next season.

The stadium issue needs sorting out quickly, followed by a clearout of players who clearly aren't good enough and lastly get rid of McRae. The chances of these things happening are none, none and none!

It obviously hasnt been great but it hasnt been as bad as some are making out either and has actually turned out better than I thought. We have had some good wins against the top clubs and won more games than I thought. We have had some very bad games but that is to be expected in the first season back in Super League.

On the playing side If you looked at the table and saw the points we have without knowing how we got them then we are probably about where we thought we would be. The problem has been the quality of the teams we have beaten may have given us false expectations of how good we are. Brilliance against Saints Leeds Warrington etc has been balanced by banality against teams we thought we may have a chance against. So all in all i believe we are where i thought we should be but by a vastly differant rout than i thought we would take. The real dissapointment has been the impending departures of two of our good young players.The idea that franchising would help clubs keep players and build for the future has passed us by where Turner and Myler are concerned. Adamson staying and Ratchford blossoming have counter-acted my dissapoinment. Crowds have been poor and the atmosphere has been muted at alot of games
However..one subject dominates and has done for a long time now. The stadium issue hovers in the background of everything we are trying to do. This weeks news has appeared to raise a level of cautious optimism in me about it getting built. But it has to happen or our future is bleak.
All in all i give us five out of ten and a must do better. We have potential to be better but we are in the hands of the franchisers as to how much time we get to fulfill that potential.

Rubbish we have played boaring rugby and been lucky with a few lucky wins on the way. 1 out of ten i would give for the whole season
