Quite a lot has been said this season about our coaching staff playing players out of position.

Stefan Ratchford is the main one but I can't for the life of me understand why Jordan Turner has been made to play in the centres this season, when you look back at last season Turner played at loose forward and did a decent of job, but in the close season for some reason he became a back

Alledgeley Jordan Turner will be on his bike at the end of this season and if he does leave I can't wait to see in what position he plays for his new club next season.

Also Mark Henry is a centre but plays most of the time out on the wing, but with Mark Henry he seems at home in any spot he's asked to play by our coach.

Never mind this season is nearly over and I'm hoping mistakes that have been clearly made this season will be put right in 2010 because next season we must get in right both on and off the field what with the likes of Widnes Viking & Halifax waiting to be included in Super League in 2012

I can understand not playing Turner at loose forward because Swain was brought in as a grafter and with Adamson it gives the pack a better balance of runners and tacklers imo. FWIW I think Turner just lacks that extra half yard of pace off the mark to play in the centre position and think he would be better playing as a back row interchange.

The choice of centres has been a really odd one for me this year. Injuries accepted, I'm still perplexed why McRae continually selects the ‘rumoured wantaway' a player new to the centre position and a slowing veteran that never ever passes the ball. Surely Henry a proven NRL centre and a rising youth international centre like Goulding (When on loan) would have been the obvious choices? Imo McRae’s bizarre selections reduced the effectiveness of two vital attacking weapons by moving them outside their most effective strike range?
I can understand we have been short on Wingers due to injuries but surely we could have brought a loan winger in from somewhere to fill the void?

The half backs is another contentious area. For starters Myler is out of form and rumoured to be going and Smith is continually disappointing. It just doesn’t make sense that such a young talent like Ratchford isn’t being given the time and experience to develop in his favoured position? Personally I would leave Myler completely out of the side now and play Smith at scrum-half in the hope he improves and forms a better partnership with Ratchford. Alternatively we could play Myler as an interchange hooker in the mould of a younger James Roby at Saints, running at pace from dummy half?
