Can't say I was expecting that :)

Awesome performance and what a way to bounce back from last week.

Fantastic atmosphere in the shed and a great moment at the end when a large number of people continued singing and waited until the players had finished the warm down and came off the pitch.

I'll post more later :)

Posted on another thread but well...
I never saw that coming
From 1 to 17 immense tonight.
Myler who needs him
Special mention to the youngsters out there Walton,Sidlow,Adamson and the star Ratchford all came through the academy(well Sidlow was there for a year  )
What a difference having a actual winger out there and I thought he had a great game.
Goulding must be signed up and Henry continues to impress.
The pack were straight in Stains faces tonight, and even the scapegoat had not a bad game, not great but a improvement, apart from being a t1t right in front of the ref.
It's great to beat the plastic scousers.
I am now opening my third can of Strongbow :DRUNK:

one word - Awesome.

That is what happens when we move away from this game plan nonsense that we hear so much about. We played great rugby tonight and made Saints look poor. Ade One yardner managed to prove me right again and can't score if he has to run more than a yard with no one in front of him. We had a bit of a spell when we came out in the second half where we went back to the game plan and did the same old five tackles and kick (could have been down to them lting up a bit and us not having the space) but after their try we seemed to think sod the game plan lets have some fun and throw the ball about.

special mention to Ratchford who played a blinder and I also thought Swain was immense tonight.

Ratchford deserved m.o.m,the lad has been completely overshadowed by all the myler hype and imo he has thrived off it,well done ratch and keep it up.
Special mention to the old horse littler tonight,he made some great last ditch tackles and at times i thought his ken dodds were gonna pop out as his head was exploding with energy!!
Walton also looks a great grafter in the time he has been on the pitch in the last couple of games.
Along with Ratchford,Adamson is more important to keep hold of than Myler,we ceratinly have missed him last couple of games!
Mcgilvaray certainly took his chance well tonight and had a point to prove against his former employers!
Henry is not frightened of getting stuck in too and done his fair share of running the ball in hard!
Go Johny Go looked as solid as i think ive ever seen him at the back mopping things up.
Will be a shame to lose Big Phil and Stappo as they certainly got right in that fat ginger puff and cos faces tonight!!
Anyway well done to all the team and heres to hammering the Welsh next week!!

After calming down a bit  and a bit of thought, I'll comment a bit further.

Unbelievable how different the performance was tonight.

Defensively we were right in Saints' faces from the beginning of the game and we cut out the stupid errors from previous weeks.

Ratchford deservedly won man of the match and had a hand in all of the tries. Listening to the radio on the way back from the game they said there was an element of luck to his second try but it looked pretty obvious that he was aiming for the post when he kicked the ball.

Thought Cashmere was a close second for best player tonight. Consistently made metres, just hope that he hasn't picked up an injury that will keep him out after he went down about 10 minutes before the end.

Good to see Walton get another chance and I thought he put in another nice performance for the second week in a row and McGilvray showed enough to convince me that he should be given more opportunities on the field at the back end of the season - nice bit of pace.

Wilshere looked confident again.

Littler actually had a good game.

Stupidity from Smith got him binned but he had a decent game. Saw him pumping his fists in celebration on the sideline when we kept them from scoring a try at one point - nice to see some passion from him.

OUTSTANDING TEAM PERFORMANCE

Special mention tonight for the man-of-the-match Stefan Ratchford who was under a cloud all week due to a groin strain.

I thought Stefan really came into his own tonight and quite righty won the M.O.M. award.

How come the Reds played like plonkers last week against Huddersfileld Giants will remain a puzzle but who cares tonight we have beaten one of the best, if not the best teams in the Engage Super League and I'm sure we can now look forward to the trip down to South Wales with great confidence.

WELL PLAYED SALFORD CITY REDS.....

It was jammy as hell. Even if we buy the "I was aiming for the post" thing wilshere pretty much dropped the ball into his hands. really thought he had blown it. But I couldn't actually care less if it was jammy or not. We deserved the rub of the green tonight.

I actually thought Wilshere had lost it/passed it forward at first and was expecting it to be chalked off but wasn't entirely sure amongst all the celebrating.
