Nobles had more then enough chances to save his Wigan career but hasn't been able to take them yet.

It's not been that tough a task he's been set either really, i just think the club needs to play some consistant rugby and we've not done that in any of Nobles 3 'full' seasons with us.

He doesn't seem to be able to motivate the players which has been a problem for a number of Wigan coaches over the years but at the end of the day it's the coach that gets the blame.

I think we'll see Adrian Lam take over tbh.

Aw Diddums.
In the challenge cup semis, playoffs last year and saved you from relegation.
Wish we could have even a bit of that so called lack of success.
You have got to realise you Wigan fans that your days of glory are long gone.
You can not now buy all the best players (although you try) and are realising now what a tough world it really is.
FWIW I do not like Noble, but do you really think replacing him will change things ?

What do you suggest then? A full salary cap at your disposal. The best training facilities in RL. The best youth set up in RL. 3 years and no trophies.

Most of us do realise that the days of us dominating the game are behind us but that doesn't mean we want to settle for being an average team.

Got to say this is a top signing

Overall Noble hasn't done a bad job but we just seem to have stood still in the past couple of years and the time just seems right to move on.

Like Pemps points out we've got the full salary cap to play with, the best training facilities in world rugby league(according to Australian players who've used them and the best the NRL clubs have to offer) and teams at the top of both the u21 and the u18 championships yet the clubs progress has grinded to a hault!

We have advantages teams like Salford and Cas don't have yet he's not using them whereas both those clubs are thriving on limited budgets and resources and are getting far more out of their own superb youth sets ups then we are.

Like i say it's time to thank him for dragging us back from the brink and for both parties to move on.

How many coaches have you had now in the past few years ?
How many young players from Wigan have you let go to other clubs ?
That is the crux of your problems.
No stability and a board looking for a quick fix approach and buying overpriced overhyped Ozzies.
It still amuses me that you think you have the God given right to win things just because you have the best facilities ,ground, fans blah blah blah.
As I said previously welcome to the real world.

Past few years? 1, and we've still got him. Before that, and under a different management, we were too keen to get rid or coaches. Now, and under new management, we seem too keen to keep hold of someone who hasn't taken us to the next level. You are aware that Noble is one of the longest serving coach in SL aren't you? 3 years at Wigan. No other coach, apart from Morgan (I think), has been at their club for longer.
Prestwich Red wrote:How many young players from Wigan have you let go to other clubs ?
Loads of lads. How many do I regret us getting rid of? Probably 3. Long (left for none rugby related problems), Briscoe (Couldn't get a game infront of Radlinski), Wild (wasn't really doing the business but he's good cover in the pack and centres).
Prestwich Red wrote:No stability and a board looking for a quick fix approach and buying overpriced overhyped Ozzies.
One thing we do have is stability at the moment. A coach who's been here longer than most others in SL and a squad that's been together for a good few years. The majority of them coming through our acadamy.

I don't. Read my post above.

Thanks, but I'm ok where I am. :D
