If you are going to the Galpharm on Sunday, why not allow yourself to be diverted for a while by setting off early and visiting the Rugby League Heritage Centre. It is situated in the famous George Hotel in the centre of Huddersfield, about one hundred yards from the main railway station.
In there you will find a great collection of Rugby League history and memorabilia: trophys, medals, jerseys, boots, digitised century old photographs, banners, newspaper cuttings, flags and posters. There are three plasma TVs showing games from the distant past both here and in Australia and Sam the manager will be on hand to answer any questions and talk to whoever wants to know more about what happened in that very room some 104 years ago.
On sale there is a collection of recently published Rugby League books, novels, DVDs and magazines.
Admission is now free and it is well worth at least an hour of anybody's time!

There are a fair few actually. Also, when we visited, the bloke stuck on a DVD of the Regal Trophy semi vs Leeds in 91. Well worth a visit for those who have yet to do so.
