Could not believe the abuse Rob Parker received tonight. He is already becoming the scapegoat for the season just as Luke Dorn was two years ago. Parker has been trusted with the near impossible role of taking over the captaincy from Alker. His performances have been solid and do not warrant the torrent of boos from the mindless scum at the top of the shed. Alker has of course been a fantastic servant and captain and I am a massive fan of his professionalism and heart. Parker is still adapting to the club, playing 80 mins, being the new captain and living in the shadow of one of the most loved players in srlfcs history. Rob Parker has a massive heart and will be doing his best as captain...but that heart will be destroyed very quickly if the fans turn on him. The appointment was out of his hands and I'm sure he instinctively leapt at the chance to captain the club....wouldn't you ?

Quite agree with the original poster, Rob Parker's been given a real rod for his own back & the main reason he's been saddled with it is that he was one of the few who didn't get involved in the nonsense that was Florida. What bugs me is that most of the muppets who are booing him were the same ones slagging off Alker last year, you lot are beyond pathetic.

at last.I was embarrasing listening to some shouting we want our captain back....when he is the cause of the problems in the first place.
Irrespective of the trouble he caused in Florida..he was not man enough to accept his punishment and is now still bleating about it .
Whether a new coach comes in or not, there is a bad apple in the camp and nothing will change until he goes
i pull up to the front of your driveway,
magic soaking my spine ,
can you read my mind.........
Last night we failed again as a team and not one player should be singled out for last nights woeful performance.
I feel it's going to get worse in the next few weeks but come on this is Salford City Reds we've seen all this before.
Looking back to last night game the only player I felt for was young Stefan Ratchford stuck out on the wing, but knowing Stefan he will not let anything get to him.
Loads to look forward to down at the Willows.............
But I'm afraid not in the short term.....COME ON SALFORD CITY REDS.
