This is a massive game, absolutely vital we get the 2 points here if I'm to restore what little confidence I now have in the team. The players need to stand up and be counted in this game, I for one was certainly not expecting anything out of our 2 away games, but the manner in which we have just been blown away early doors is disgraceful. I can see a below 3000 crowd for this game and who can blame them for staying away? This game is massive not only for the fans, but for the players another hammering here could seriously knock us for 6 and it then wouldn't surprise me if we didn't win again all season.
It feels like the whole of rugby league are laughing at us at this moment in time so come on lads take a long hard look at yourselves and at least give us a performance to be proud off.

Not really.
They've struggled for consistency but gradually become a better team under McDermott and are, at worst, a mid-table SL team. They will also be keen to put the record straight after a disappointing defeat in the last few minutes against a Wigan side who were struggling for form.
We're the newly promoted side who are still trying to get to grips with the pace of SL again. How or why anyone would think we'll win, let alone think it's a massive game, is beyond me.

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book
I guess the franchise system has reduced the "massive" game currency but from a confidance point of view it is a good chance to get the fans believing a little more. Quins were one of the sides i thought we might be able to finish higher than but from what little i have seen of both them and us i may have to rethink that a little. If we get beat then at least lets make them work for it.

it is something that is starting to bug me as well, people saying we should beat these and should beat them. The only team we should of beaten this season, we have done, but at there place i dont think we'll win. Every team should be too fast and strong for us this season. Dont get me wrong we may cause a few upsets but most of our games this season, even home ones i wont be expecting us to win. What does bug me though is when it seems like the players have to given up like at cas.

It really isn't the losing that gets to me - FFS suporting Salford we should be used to it by now - what I can't quite get to grips with are the performances when we are losing. Having said that, and being hideously negative and whiney today I also know the Salford way and we are just as likely to play well now on Friday in a deliberate attempt to dumbfound us all again Big win to follow eh?

The mind boggles
After making a boatload of signings, which will be costing the club a fair few quid (wages/accommodation etc etc), you only expected us to win 1 game all season Really
Why on earth would it not be possible for us to import supposedly "quality players" and win between 10 & 14 games. Personally, I expected to win between 7 & 10 games this season and push on from there. That now seems highly unlikely.
However, you really do need to set you sights a little higher than just one win all year.

Let's hope we get back on track this Friday against Harlequins.
The last two games have been very dissapointing to say the least, we need a good performance on Friday if only to give us fans something to cheer about.
We all knew it was not going to be easy this season but if I'm honest I was expecting the Reds to win the first 4 fixtures, how wrong I've been up to now..

Well maybe expecting the two points is a bit too much, but we need a performance no doubt about it. And in the context of the season I think it is a massive game. If we find ourselves on the back of another heavy defeat, we could see out attendances drop even further, the confidence of the playing staff will drop even more, and I can see us not winning another game all season if that happens.
Just because there's no relegation doesn't mean its OK to role over and die every game without any effort does it? Because that's the way some of our fans seem to be seeing it.
