After just one game of the new season, Widnes have parted company with former Reds coach Steve McCormack.

Seems that defeat against NL2 opposition was tougher to swallow for the Widnes board this year than it was for us last year?!

Anyone else think it's bizarre to keep a coach for the off season, only to get shut after one match?!

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

Who do we think will step into his shoes? Jon Sharp, Ellery Hanley (he's free again now  ), I see Neil Kelly was there on Friday, what about Rhino, they could do a lot worse?

are the wheels coming off, stats in the MEN also after a poor pre-season
seems strange when they played SL opp in their friendlies, perhaps being hammered by us was the catalist in this sacking.

Do you think Rhino would do it? I bet he's quite happy being senior scholarship coach at Hudds (aka Salford Reds retirement home)
