Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The funny thing about that is that some leigh fans do actually believe that dump was better than The Willows

this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

Thieving Manc!

Must admit, it broke my heart being there this morning. The LSV is a crackin' facility, but nothing will ever replace the memories (good and bad) of Hilton Park.

Suppose I'm reasonably well-trained in this 'leaving old ground' lark after having a trial run at Burnden Park nearly 12 years ago, but I managed to avoid going anywhere near Burnden for nearly 3 hours after it shut it's doors...not going to manage that with HP :(
