To be honest its somthing that i am interested in i get more of a buzz when opposition fans or newspaper reports or even players say "you salford fans made a hell of a racket that day at ours or when we were at the willows you didnt stop singing it was a cracking atmosphere" rather than when they talk about the team.
The best ones are the players they say stuff like "are you all on drugs up there? Or "sometimes i wish i was up there with you it seems so much fun"
The club can try and market the club however they like with families and kids but for me being part of salfords red army should be the biggest draw of all for any of us.
They talk about boxers being pound for pound the best boxer in the world, for me person to person we cant be beaten in my book, even with a half arsed shed and a half full ground id put us the great long suffering supporters of salford in the top 3 in the country behind hull and Hull KR, with Fc on the slide imo off the field its there for the taking.
The only thing we lacked in the past was numbers, at the moment its enthusiam and numbers, its up to us the supporters to grab the bull by the horns and drag the match day experience forward to where it was and even higher

Amen to that brother... But how do we stop/overide the less desirable members of the shed who make the rest of us look bad and ultimately spoil things for us?
Maybe a witty song, sung by the turkey faithful, every time a scouse/yorkshire/sheep/unnecessary-offensive-vulgar type song gets started by the usual crowd? Maybe a collective hush would do the trick? Either way, as vocal support goes, we've lost the bl00dy plot over the last 2 years or so... This must be rectified!

SALFORRRRRRRDDDD
Nearly there
this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

Now I'm not a shed-dweller, so perhaps my views don't count, but can you honestly say that cutting out offensive vulgarity is a good thing?
I think it's hilarious when the "Yorkshire, Yorkshire" chant from the Leeds fans in the North Stand is met with a resounding "Baaaa" from the shed - long may it continue

I think the circumstances mentioned here come back to the inappropriate timing that KOTS mentioned. There has been a tendency to sing songs at dumb times: "We all hate...." at a time when we need to be getting behind our own team; "oh, w*nky w*nky" as the "w*nk" team run in their 8th try against us (how w*nk does that make us?); "score more tries" when we're defending; "you're not singing any more" when we're 2 points up and inevitably going to have to defend our line for the last five minutes; "easy, easy" when we take a 10-0 lead after 12 minutes
My main gripe is the concentration on abusing the opposition at a key stage ion teh game when we need to be getting behind Salford. I'm all for witty put downs in songs and having a good atmosphere, but it's got a bit too much like "well, we can't say we're better than you, we can't think of anything funny, so we're just going to tell you to f*ck off".

Beat me to it. Just one addition, singing all of the above towards the North stand when their fans are at the Willows end. Oh, and an absolute corker the other day. The chant, whether rightly or wrongly, "what the f****n 'ell was that" was sung by a large section of the shed towards the Salford players after yet another Crusaders try. About 20 of my favourite morons started singing the same song and flicking v's at the Crusaders players. How stupid can people get... Furthermore, it makes the rest of us look bad.
