Along with many others I've had a text message from the club this morning announcing that work has begun on the site.

Will it be ready for the Saints game?

Construction companies wishing to be considered had up until 23rd April 2010 to submit pre-qualification questionnaires.

Upto 6 of those will be shortlisted and invited to tender for the work in July 2010.

Just got a rare early dart and going over the bridge noticed some work in progress so came of at the A57 turn and had a nosey, there is most definately lot's of work going on and from what I could see they are busy cordening of the area of the construction and securing the plant store in readyness for when the machinary arrives.

It's either that or the best mirage in history..

That's interesting. When did the tender go out for the 'work' that has apparently started?
Who was awarded the contract?
What is the work that is being done?
