Are you the lad with the tartan hat, ginger hair who wears a skirt ;-)

I think the Weaste thing was true decades ago when people traveled less and tended to live in the same area all of their lives, now as the suburbs grow people radiate outwards. What Salford as a club should be doing is trying to tap into the new communities in the city, the Polish community is one i would look at as apart from anything else the guys tend too be on the bigger side and would in my mind make ideal RL players.

Och aye ma wee dumpling, eh is thon fine specimen oa sexiness that ye thot aa wis!!!!!

And you're spot on with the Eastern European communities, definitely of the breed that would take to the sport from both playing and spectating view

On the 8th day, God created Rugby League
On the 9th day, Satan created Salford.
A battle ensued through to to late on the 12th day.
A few hours later, a truce, and on the final stroke of midnight, Code 13 was created...
Heaven and Hell combined forces and delivered Salford Red Devils...a legacy is born!!!!!

Cows fecal matter.. It's cold & dark there's no rugby League on... that's when all the trolls come out to play ..

the Salford 70's side was successful & well attended at the same time as Man-U in the George Best Dennis Law years.
It doesn't preclude a dominant Soccer team automatically means no other sport has a chance . We like to blame the nickname stealing neighbours , but he truth of it is we've been a poor performing club for decades .

Weak Grassroots Rugby L , is more an indictment on Barla & the RFL than the professional clubs ,
Warrington isn't exactly a hotbed of grassroots rugby , yet they have a reasonable attendance & silverware , initially from a mercenary side brought in to do a job.
We just need to get off our behinds and attend, and the team needs to get Into the habit of winning 3,4 or 5 in a row and most of these insurmountable issues won't be issues at all

I seem to remember there was once a poll taken asking where fans lived. I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that very few people actually lived in Weaste.

So the whole 'heart of the community' argument doesn't do anything for me.

I don't live in Salford, nor do a lot of other fans.

Ahh but my best mate in the whole of RL land Mich the red wants to tap in to communities so there must be some mileage in it.

The club needs to have a big promotional push to all the resident living within a two mile radius of the stadium.

Can't see a huge uptake from the flyover nor from Barton Aerodrome but hey you are tucked in at the heartlands of Salford.... Massive community and all.
