Last season there was a group of about 20-30 chavs all about 18 thinking they was hard to shout stuff then when a few of our fans said something back they shut right up. $h!t bags

We have over the last few seasons had a few young lads (probably too young to have any at all) having a couple too many to drink and being obnoxious.
I have to say I haven't noticed this yet this season so hopefully you'll just encounter our friendly side (unless you beat us )

Sorry and surprised to hear this. But, as stereotypes go, Wakey fans should surely be classed as relatively friendly mob.
I just hope that we are regarded in the same way despite the best attempts of a certain subsection. :s

Wakey is the best away trip of the season (M62) For any Reds with time on there hands Wakefield is a fantastic night out loads of bars/clubs and the people are really friendly. I can remember going to a match in Wakey and coming back two days later with another member of this forum having hooked up with a couple of Yorkshire lasses.

The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

There's a lovely little village called Heath - about 30 minutes walk from the ground - the Kings Arms does excellent food and good real ale.
Hillbilly Red and myself will be installed in said establishment for some time before the match - we may even tear ourselves away and make it to the ground

There was a couple of older Wakey fans near us who was saying that lot tried to kick off every game and they didn't no anyone who actually liked them, so they must of been a bunch of sad pr!ck$. The rest of the Wakey fans were alright and the previous 4 times Ive been they were.

Have a safe journey over guys. Looking forward to a good game. Watch where you park - the local police and clampers are extremely keen on matchdays (particularly along Doncaster Road towards city centre and round the new flats close to Chantry Bridge).
