i am now officially part of the fine fellow element!!
BUT I WAS JOKING AND SO WERE THE REST OF SALFORDS FANS WERE LAST NIGHT, ITS MORE JUST TO VENT OUR ANGER AT ONE PERSON, AND HE WAS NO BETTER HIM SELF INCITING (SP?) THE CROWD
there probably is songs in bad taste, but NONE of them wishing anyone dead, or remotely similar.
You stated in a single post, wasn't even a song, just a statement.
What annoyed me even more as well was that people felt the need to sing Coley songs over and over for an extended period of time when we could have still been getting behind the team which we eventually did in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Coley is a tw@ but he gave as good as he got last night. I actually like it when players give a little bit back to the fans like that (in the same way that Palaeaasina was laughing and gave a bit of applause when people were singing "You're supposed to be in jail"). You need a few villain type characters and disliked players when you play against other teams that you can give a bit of abuse when you play them, although I think the song is slightly OTT and there are plenty of other ways you can take the pi$$ out of players in songs.
i dont know what game you was at then because if you ask me the salford songs was going start to finish!!! the reason why people get vexed off is when it was 16-6 wilshire does his normal kick off then as soon as it goes to 22-6 he tries then 10 metre kick and the question is why dint he do it earlier when we was still in the game... and if you look over the past couple of years how many super league players have been let off with jail terms eg pryce, reardon, feka and etc.... how many salford players get in that situation none so therefore the players deserve the stick that they get from the fans of rugby league!!

i have no problems with any player signin a contract with another club to better their career but when you sign a contract with another club and the first thing your own club knows about it is a press release from the other club ( ie wigan) saying such a player has signed a 2 year contract with them. i think you could understand our anger
plus when you see coley playing like he did tonight and indeed the time at the willows it makes you think why didnt he play like that for us in 2007
in his time coley was a great servent to our club but the way he left us was a complete insult to us, the fans, the club, and the game and for this HE DESERVES TO DIE A SLOW AND PAINFULL DEATH
WE'LL BE WALKING ROUND THE WILLOWS WITH HIS HEAD (ON A STICK)
I agree with this post right up until the word game, from there on I think it's in very bad taste, yes we can show we don't like him but not by wishing him dead.
As soon as the Coley songs came out I knew the game was over for us. Our moment had passed and Wigan were on their way to cementing their spot in the semi's.
Whilst it appears some people are taking the aforementioned chant to serious, it like all chants, needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Coley gave just as much as he got last night and both parties provoked each other. I would have expected more from a "professional" sportsman.
Nobody there last night genuinely wants Andy Coley to die and it's unfortunate that his name fits into such a chant. You've got to look at it as a rap song, rappers dont intend to diss or offend people but if their name fits into a line it goes in.
Forget it and move on, to have 4 pages on the subject is boring and over the top. I'd rather look at the fact that we took superb numbers to the JJB (whoever said 1200 needs to go back to school) and made an absolute racket.
Anderson-son-son
He's better than Kleberson
Anderson-son-son-son
He's our midfield magician
On the left, on the right
Do the Samba beat tonight
He is class, he sh*gs brass
And he sh*ts on Fabregas
