Peel Holdings interview in the advertsier as well:

"We working hard with the rugby club and council to be able to build the stadium and how to make it affordable. It's not going to be a profitable venture from our perspective."

It basically went along the lines of "We still hope the stadium will be built" or words to that effect

Just got the MEN. It mainly talks about the interview with the advertiser talking about Peel's vision for regeneration of Salford - "we're in it for the long haul" (not sure if that's good or bad)

The MEN article says (Peel) remains fully behind the Barton stadium project despite the long delays in the development's progress "We're absolutely commited to it, as are salford City Council and the rugby club"

Not only from reading this but reading everything else there are too many people saying it will be build for it not to happen.
Maybee not on schedule but it will happen defo!!!!

I hope we get some movement soon regarding the stadium, it sounds like Peel want some help funding it perhaps they are waiting for Salford Council to stump up a bit of cash to help it along.

It would be a massive let down, building a new shinny stadium and having to watch Salford play Batley in it for 3 years with 1500 other people and 30 from Batley until we get back in the big time. (if they let us back in)
Would break my heart if that happened
