At a previous meeting, malc was told he wasnt guilty of the things you all think you know , maybe you do maybe you dont, and that lead to his reinstatment as club captain.
Dont get me wrong he aint entirley innocent, but the club decided that a loss of wages was enough punishment, the same as the other players involved.
Most concerning thing is he has never been a great hooker in super league and never will be, he should be one of the players gradually phased out over the next couple of years if we want to be a top 8 super league side.

And your point is ? so he aint a good hooker so should not be captain as malc is 30, think even he knows hes only got 1 more season left after this one, at the very most.

is there the slight possibilty that players have staged a 'protest' over the last 3 weeks and thus putting in far below par performances? could this be a reason to why Mal has been re-instated?
i think Mal was still the captain but without the armband, but you dont punish someone for something and then say, ok we re instate you.
is this a sign of players having their own way and therefore being 'bigger' than the club? would the club uplift the ban placed on the three banned from away matches? I DONT THINK SO.
FWIW i agree with the ban but was using that as an example

My point is that you should build your team around the Captain and that he should not be in the side long enough for a quality team to be build up around him.
If we had recruited correctly at the start of the Season he should have been a bit part player, possibly playing back row by now, not our starting hooking leading our side around the pitch!

It doesn't matter what we know or what we don't know, the club knew what went on and decided to take the action it did, this U-turn shows the club in a ridiculously bad light, as indecisive and weak.
Having said that we the supporters have no choice but to accept the change and continue to support the club.
It is a sad day for our great club, I have nothing against Alker but today decision confirms player power rules.
Now we might see the reverse with the other camp not wanting to play for the club?
You cannot make such a major decision at the beginning of the season to strip Mal Alker of the captaincy only to reinstate him 5 games in, what a short sighted decision, week management springs to mind.
I would have thought Parker will have told the club I am sorry but I am not being the fall guy, find another captain.
Finally I will be there tomorrow not because I am looking forward to the game but we all need to rally around the club before we really end up a laughing stock in Super league.

That is exactley what we are after todays announcement.
I have been really peed off so far this season the results on the field have been bad but the off field events have been far worse.
The whole Alker saga , the aparrent abuse of Rob Parker, , idiots in the crowd at Cas etc
Despite the above I will be at Saints tomorrow , the team owe us a decent peformance,( wether we get one is another matter ).
