Simms does nothing that he can be held accountable for. So looks like he's got a job for life.

As long as he sorts out one of his mates with the coaching job again when Mcrae goes though we'll be alright.

Simms was on the stage before the game in the Willows. He said Quins are different to Cas and Wakey(I believe) in that we will come down the middle. What a shock it must have been for him when we scored after 90 seconds in the corner. Followed by stacks more in the corner. Does he not watch the opponents videos. We played the same against Manly etc. Bizarre.

Does he also not think teams change tactics to out do the opposition and expose weaknesses.

Quinns watch the vidoes of the other two games and come up with a game plan similar to them as these exposed our weaknesses good coaching.
McRae assumes that the Quinns would not do that but stick to their usual game Like the Reds do poor coaching

He may not have been one here, but he won the NRL (or NSWRL as it was then) with Parramatta in 1986.

I go back many years now but we had another figure at this club who fulfilled much the same role as Mr Simms (namely Albert White). He signed a load of crap as well and while successive coaches were sacked he sat in his ivory tower immune from public criticism and secure in his job.

History is repeating itself!!! If it is Mcrae that signs them then what is Simms job and why are we paying him money to do mickey ALL.

One out ALL out for the management please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can't be serious, Albert White's role at Salford was chief scout, Simms is football director and he's only responsible for negotiating player deals and has nothing to do with deciding who we sign. The role of Simms is to talk to agents and determine who is available and then pass that on to the coach to decide who he wants.

As for Albert White signing crap i disagree, imo he signed some good players on a very limited budget over his years at the club.

I know for a fact that White could identify every decent kid on the circuit but we just couldn't compete financially and we didn't have the same pulling power against the likes of Wigan, Saints, Warrington and Widnes.

Lets stop calling for every coaches & managers heads every time the team is going through a bad patch because the players aren't performing. It's obvious from some players body language that we have a couple of very bad eggs in our team/squad at the moment so let the coach/managers do their jobs and smoke the overpaid rats out one by one!

Its a bad patch but can you see any light at the end of the tunnel?, We are going to ride it out as there is nobody better out there to replace Mcrae
