They currently sit 7th in the North West Counties 1st.
The win at Bootle was a cracking result. Bootle were much better than Irlam the week before in the VLC 3rd Round and it should have been a bigger win than 3-1.

FC lost 3-0 away at Nantwich yesterday. Not a fair reflection, though, we matched them throughout the game, we just couldn't create any real chances, never mind finish them off. Nantwich managed to create and take theirs, as well as a penalty. Ho hum.

Two very late goals cancelled out Salford's 80th minute equaliser as the Ammies fell to a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Colwyn Bay.
Next Saturday Salford travel to unbeaten title favourites Durham City and their artificial pitch. No pressure there then! Thanks to Sky changing the Reds opening fixture from Friday to Saturday it means that I miss the Super League opening fixture at the Willows. Thanks a bunch!

There again, it does mean you might have a couple of potential neutrals if I don't spend all my cash in the pub before the FCUM-Leigh game

Salford City's game at Durham City tomorrow has now been switched to Moor Lane due to the state of the Durham pitch. This now of course means that I'll also now be able to see the Reds in action at the Willows against Celtic Crusaders. Happy days indeed!!

Once again Salford City were denied a deserved point as Championship favourites Durham City were fortunate to leave Moor Lane with a single goal victory.
The next game at home on Tuesday 17th February ko 7:45pm against next to bottom Radcliffe Borough is a crucial one for the Ammies if they are to stand any chance in avoiding the drop.
