Already handed over? I've received an email at work today inviting people in the construction industry to a "pre handover" site tour on Friday 16th, still requiring safety equipment to be worn.

Has anyone got any up to date photos of the stadium, they could put on here. Have not seen anything new for ages. Can only see web can views of the outside of the main stand, which looks out of proportion re cladding is different left and right of centre, unless it's ongoing after the handover

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

So non salford fans get to have a free walk around the stadium and the rest of us have to shell out over £25 to do it!
They know how to look after their supporters do salford!

When they say handing the keys over do they mean so the tennants can begin putting things inside? There seems to be one hell of a lot of acticvity going on outside still in terms of plant machinery, will the big expanse of bare earth you can see in the foreground of the webcam shot be turfed? would help to make the area look more presentable at least.
And does anyone know if the grey wooden fence they put up at the start of the build will be pulled down?

Yes, it basically means tenants can start their own fit out and moving stuff in - it was ages between the handover of the BBC mediacity buildings and the day-to-day workers moving in.
As for the landscaping, one of the reports said that certain things can't be done at this time of the year for ecological reasons, so elements of the landscaping will continuing through next season.

Just been down there today and they were testing the loud speakers/PA and shock horror it didn't sound like Norman Collier was having a stuttering fit down the mic, let's hope that next season we have someone decent doing the pre match able.
They were busy leveling the ground to the rear of the stadium between the stand and canal so maybe they are just going to grass it over, there are lots of trees dotted around the site that have yet to be planted and structurally I'd say the only thing that looked missing were the big corner gates which I guess has something to do with ease of access for the construction workers. There are also ticket windows in now on the sides.
Got to say not to start another arguement but the contrast of the twin tone blue and red seats looks pretty good and offers a bit of definition to the size of the main stand, my only gripe is that the grey of the general construction looks shoddy so I'd hope they were going to put a coat of something a bit brighter over when all the contruction around it has finished.
