Having watched the Sky sports coverage, Fox appeared to be in front of the passer for each try when he received the ball ie a forward pass, so two reffing errors in the first 7 mins. Overall I thought both teams were poor and apparently that was Cookes best game for HKR on the local radio phone in with just one caller. The pitch itself was in pretty poor condition for the first match, whether this is due to the sandy soil or the moist salt seaair.

If you can't be arsed typing words properly I hope you don't mind if I decide not to bother reading any of your posts. It's the internet, not a text message.
Apologies if you're actually incredibly thick and that's how you think those words are supposed to be typed.

But you have read his post else you wouldn't have been able to notice the spelling mistakes.

Totally agree with the above post i think the score somewhat flattered us and as you rightly say could of easily been more if some of the hkr passes had of stuck. In regards to silverwood he had nothing to do with their territory it was salford that conceded some daft penalties our pack was ineffective and our backs were shocking the kicking game was also awful. I also think that holdsworth has looked better at halfback jeremy smith added a bit of dimension when he went on at hooker... There are some positives to be taken out of the game though and ironically i think we could of done with littler because in hindsight i dont think kr would of scored them first two tries if he were there as he would of been pushing broughton wider instead of him leavin fox with a ten metre gap to run through

Is this the coverage that showed the last pass to every try yea?
My honest evaluation is that I think the battle will be on between you, quins and celtic for who take the wooden spoon this year.

My main worries were the way our forwards were out-muscled so that we found it very difficult to go forward, our left side defence (which had to cope with Dobson) and the poor quality kicking game.
None of the above helped us . The positives were that we didn't let our heads drop after being 12-0 down in the 7th minute; some of our goal-line defence was very impressive at times and there were signs of rustiness that should disappear as the season progresses.
To beat the Crusaders we need to make fewer mistakes, give away fewer penalties and gain decent field position more often so that some of the attacking flair that we seem to have can be exploited properly.

The same Sky Sports coverage that only showed his 2nd try? Nothing wrong with either pass, just long balls over the top that's all.
The pitch looked worse than it played, it certainly never deteriorated during the game. For a poor pitch, watch the Leeds v Cas highlights!
