Oh I know we're not. But, half-backs, hookers, 2nd rowers and backs all have 1 thing in common. They are all surplus to requirements without quality forwards preventing the opposition from creating momentum whilst creating momentum for their own blokes to work on the back of. I just feel that if we are going to bring a bloke over from Aus, which is never a cheap option, we should be bringing a prop over.
10 years ago Bradford were dominant in super league on the basis their team was bigger and stronger than everybody else's. Year on year, other teams have followed suit to the point where props in 2009 were far fitter, faster and stronger than ever before. It will be the same in 2010. Without following this trend, bigger teams will run over the top of you up the middle and no matter who you have in the backs, (Apart from maybe Greg Inglis), you'll get no joy as they'll never get quality ball on the back of momentum created by dominant props. Hopefully I'm underestimating our props but from what I've seen in the last couple of years, they're a little of the pace.
